I have a few other songs by MGB that I've tabbed out, which I'll submit to the site when I get a chance. If anyone wants them sooner though, feel free to e-mail me and I'll send them, and tab out any other songs you might want, if I can. Alright, on to the tab. One final note: if you don't own a copy of Beautiful Midnight yet, go out and buy it. You WILL NOT regret it. Also pick up Underdogs, Raygun and Last of the Ghetto Astronauts if you can. Trust me, they're all worth it. Title: Going All The Way Artist: Matthew Good Band Album: Beautiful Midnight Release Date: September 14th, 1999 (kinda sad that I know that) Intro: There's a little riff for the intro, but I haven't figured out the best way to play it for now. He plays around with a bunch of notes, specifically F#, C#, F, D# and G#. It's basically the root of a power chord F# at the 9th fret (10th, since it's tuned down) and then something else. Just fiddle around with those notes. As I said, the whole song is tuned down, for easier play. Verse: (I'm gonna do this one in chordpro format so it's easier to understand) (G)Well this is it (D)So where it's at (Em)Mono(D)maniacs (C)Baby you(G)know it's all we're(Am)good for (intro riff) (G)Drugs for the kids (D)If the kids are flat (Em)All dressed up(D)to match (C)Those shit-eatin'(G)grins look effort(Am)less Chorus: And (C)if there's (Em)nothing left to (D)die for* And (C)all this (Em)"our beauty!" is just (D)decay And (C)if there's (Em)nothing left to (D)die for* Then (C)you and me, let's (Em)go out going (D)all the way * is just an added thing you can do. A second guitar is hitting the G note on the low E, and the A note, which you can incorporate into the D chord. You can play a Dsus4, then this (dunno what it's called): e--5--------- B--3--------- G--2--------- D--0--------- A--x--------- E--x--------- It's a little bit of a stretch, but it's not too hard. You can either stretch with your pinky while your other fingers keep the same D shape, or move your fingers around so it's sort of like a reverse Bm or Gmaj7 chord) Verse 2 (same pattern): Well this is it So where it's at Megalomaniacs Baby you know it's all we're good for Those missle men With their master plans Don't get paid to understand Makes you wonder where we got these Shit eating grins from Chorus: And if there's nothing left to die for And all this (our beauty) is just decay And if there's nothing left to die for Then you and me, let's go out going all the way (repeat) Bridge: (Bm)Dreams (A)Of the sea (E)Caught way inland (G)Caught way inland (Bm) We'll cut as losses, (A)cut our losses (E)Cut our losses, (G)cut our losses etc, etc...and then, after the last "cut our loss down" play C, G, A, then play the chorus a bunch of times. It ends with this weird fingerpicking, which is variations on a D chord: e------------------------------------- B--3-------3--------3-------3--------- G---2-0------2-0-----2-0-----2-0------ D-0----4--0-----4--0----4--0----4--0-- A-------0--------0-------0-------0---- E------------------------------------- Alright, that's it. As stated above, if anyone wants any other tab, just e-mail me and I'll be happy to send it to you, or tab it out, then send it to you, if I don't have it already.
